Even if Portal 3 is just a pipe dream that's out of reach, at least the modding community is keeping the spirit of the series alive. Expanding on the concepts of the main game, in Portal Reloaded you get a hold of the Triple Portal Device, allowing you to shoot three different portals. Keeping up? Portal Reloaded is a continuation of the second game, created through a labor of love by some very dedicated community members. So, what do fans who want more from the series do? Wait for decades in the hopes that their prayers will be answered? Apparently not, as they’ve answered their own prayers and put in the wrench time themselves. As such, the likelihood that we’ll ever see an official release of Portal 3 is slim, despite whatever your neighbor insists. Pretty much anyone who has ever played a video game knows that Valve hates the number three just as much as anyone has hated anything in the history of the universe.
